AUXGOD, established in 2016, is a black-owned business created by Mike Rousseau. This former financial business analyst quit his full-time job after seven years. He decided to go the creative route. AUXGOD is a music battle card game that Rousseau created six months after quitting his job. He was at a party playing music on a Bluetooth speaker. A friend asked him to go heads up and play songs back and forth, which seemed like a battle. “We split ourselves into two teams and played for an hour. I went home that night and kept thinking about all the songs our team could have played”. Players compare songs in response to game cards. No other party game brings everyone together like this one. Players dance, sing, and argue over yesterday’s classics and today’s hits. You’ll never have a wack party again!

An Orlando-based designer/content creator has found himself sitting on a goldmine. His latest product Blvck Spades - has everyone talking. Blvck Spades playing cards is a customized deck designed for playing JJDD spades. Its creators made it in a way that makes it easier for individuals to learn to play. The owner, E. Mackey, said the idea came to him when he was sitting at home watching TV. He found himself intrigued by a deck of cards he saw on the screen. He had been thinking about his next entrepreneurial move, and it clicked. He would use his creative skills to design a deck. “I said to myself; it can’t just be a deck. It has to be special,” he said. This African American business owner succeeded in designing something special: a deck of cards that look like the players.

House Party the Game

Entertainment & Toys, Games
Women Owned
We were inspired to create House Party in 2015 after a get together with friends ultimately sparked an hours-long conversation about the influence of black entertainment and culture. There were so many things we'd almost forgotten; a lot to cover and a lot to celebrate. As fans of trivia and entertaining, we wanted to create a fun and nostalgic party game that would be perfect for the next game night. And like that, House Party was born!
