ROSE REDD ( KNOWN AS “ROSE-MARY JACKSON”) WAS A FIRST GENERATIONAL WOMAN TO START HER OWN BUSINESS IN A “NON-TRADITIONAL” WAY. SHE BEGAN RECYCLING BEFORE IT WAS FASHIONABLE TO DO SO. SHE DROVE THE STREETS IN HER OLD PICK UP TRUCK AND WAS MET WITH NOTHING BUT INSULTS EVEN THOUGH SHE WAS AN ATTRACTIVE AND EASY GOING WOMAN. HAVING A FAMILY OF 10 - SHE HAD TO FEED AND KEEP A ROOF OVER THE HEADS OF 8 CHILDREN - DURING A TIME WHEN BLACKS WERE NOT BEING EMPLOYED SHE FOUND AN OUTLET THAT KEPT HER FAMILY TOGETHER. GROWING UP IN RUSSELVILLE, OH AND THEN MOVING TO GEORGETOWN, OH SHE EXCELLED IN SCHOOL AND HER STUDIES. BEING THE ONLY AFRICAN AMERICAN WOMAN IN HER CLASS SHE GRADUATED VALEDICTORIAN OF THE 1952 CLASS. SHE WAS A TRENDSETTER EVEN BACK THEN SHE REFUSED TO CONFORM TO SOCIETAL STANDARDS AND TOOK A STAND TO WEAR PANTS AS OPPOSED TO A DRESS TO GRADUATION. ALWAYS THINKING OUTSIDE THE BOX SHE FOUND OUTLETS TO ALWAYS GAIN A SOURCE OF INCOME FOR HERSELF. SHE STARTED SELLING CANDY TO CHILDREN IN HER HOME IN HAZELWOOD, OH THAT WAS SITTING NEXT TO A SMALL PARK - MAKING SURE THAT HER CHILDREN WERE TAKEN CARE OF. THE “REDD ROSE” BRAND IS BIGGER THAN WHAT IT MAY APPEAR TO BE. WITH REDD ROSE WE CELEBRATE WOMEN - ALL WOMEN. The company was founded in New Orleans in 2011, and has been nationally recognized as a catalytic business that has tackled inequities within the craft beverage industry since inception. The company/LLC via its mission, "Brewing for socio-economic gains one pint at a time", has created not only an increase in civic pride but also tangible accomplishments for many community-driven initiatives. To date, the company has raised more than $500,000 for local philanthropies and non-profit organizations in the Orleans Parish community.Cajun Fire is under contractual agreement with Southern Eagle Distributors to introduce its products across eight parishes in South East Louisiana. Cajun Fire has a contractual agreement for Beltway Brewing Company (which is based out of Sterling, VA) to produce and ship flagship beers to Southern Eagle Distributors during the development of the brick and mortar facility. Stuyvesant Champagne

Food & Beverage, Alcohol & Wine
Women Owned
Growing up, M. Robinson’s love affair with champagne began quite humbly as a college student. She and her friends would often pool their limited funds to purchase a bottle of Moet & Chandon, White Star. They frequented a liquor store on Fulton Street and St. James Place within the neighborhood she was raised. They would do the traditional toast, cheers and proudly sip out of their plastic cups. Although this Bottle of Nostalgia was discontinued, it stoked a love for champagne in Marvina’s heart that would burn brightly until this day. M. Robinson desired her own brand of champagne to serve as the private house label for her upcoming champagne bar. In order to achieve that goal, she worked with a vineyard in France to create Stuyvesant Champagne. The first tasting of Stuyvesant Champagne was hosted by Suite 607 located in the Brooklyn Navy Yard. This was the first official tasting in the United States with invited guests. After receiving great feedback from the carefully selected attendees, she was able to confirm the two selections that would become the primary offering of Stuyvesant Champagne; a Rose and a Grand Reserve Brut. One of M. Robinson's fondest memories of champagne occurred in January of 2019 when she visited the famous Les Deux Magots in Paris, France. She sat outside in the cold, under a heated lamp, chatted with a fellow patron and sipped champagne as they did in the movies. M. Robinson has a zest for life and travels and hopes to bring a taste of home, spice and culture to the Champagne community. She is one of the few African American women owning a Champagne brand. Her love for her hometown, Bedford-Stuyvesant (Brooklyn, NY), inspired the name of her brand, Stuyvesant Champagne. She invites you to raise a glass and toast to the freshness of family and beginnings of a strong and fruitful relationship.
